SOLO & ENSEMBLE FESTIVALS

WVMEA Solo and Ensemble Festivals are generally held on a Saturday in January or February. Students and teachers must meet the requirements set forth in the Solo and Ensemble Rules and Regulations in order to be eligible to participate. All participating teachers must be current members at the time of the festival. For further information visit the WVMEA Website, contact your site chair, or the State Solo and Ensemble Chair, Will Cosby.

Solo & Ensemble Rules and Regulations
Download the 2020 solo & ensemble rules and regulations for information on eligibility, fees, music selection, copyright, and more.  Download Here >>

Special Note:
Download this spreadsheet and enter all required information. Save the worksheet with school name and file extension .xlsx then upload it at the registration link below (on page 2). No other file formats will be accepted, and no other form may be attached.

All recordings for the Honors Recitals will be submitted electronically. Submission information may be found on the WVMEA website. Recordings may be made before the festival, but the personnel on the recording must be the same that perform at the festival. All recordings must be in MP3 format due to file size restrictions on the submission website. It is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED that students make their recordings ahead of time.

Please be advised: The Rules and Regulations for this year have changed significantly from the past. Please read them thoroughly to be sure you are up to date on all information. New or edited information from previous years will be highlighted throughout. With this being the case all Site Registrations will now be completed electronically. Please see the WVMEA website for further information.

Recording Submission Deadline: All recordings must be electronically submitted no later than Tuesday, February 11th. Absolutely no late submissions will be accepted.
