PRDV: WVMEA Conference 2025

WVU School of Music will offer a 3-hour Professional Development class for teachers attending the Annual 2026 WVMEA In-Service Conference, March 5 – 7, 2026. Teachers must register for the class and the conference.  There is a $25.00 fee on the Conference registration form.

After attending the conference, a reflective summary of the conference must be submitted to Renee.Wyatt@mail.wvu.edu by April 15, 2026.

2026 Annual WVMEA In-Service Conference

WVMEA will host a 3-hour Professional Development class through WVU for participants attending the WVMEA Conference, March 5 – 7, 2026.

Teachers participating in this class will earn three (3) hours of graduate credit that can be used for license renewal and salary upgrades.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Attend the conference and pay the $25.00 PRDV fee on to their conference registration form. This fee supports WVMEA for hosting the class.
  2. Register for the class through the WVU graduate admissions office as a

       Need a:

  1. Participants will respond on their conference experiences by answering the following questions: 
       1) What sessions did you attend that you felt were outstanding?
       2) Considering the outstanding sessions you attended, what practical activities/teaching strategies did you gain from the session(s) that you can use in your musical classroom?
       3) Did you network with some colleagues exchanging teaching strategies and ideas that you plan to use in your classroom?
  2. Reflective responses need to be submitted via email to by April 15, 2026
