WVMEA Professional Development Credit
for Annual 2027 WVMEA In-Service Conference Attendance

WVMEA will host a 3-hour Professional Development class through WVU for participants attending the WVMEA Conference, March 4 – 6, 2027.

Teachers participating in this class will earn three (3) hours of graduate credit that can be used for license renewal and salary upgrades.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Attend the conference and pay the $25.00 PRDV fee on the conference registration form. This fee supports WVMEA for hosting the class.  https://www.wvmea.org/conference-details/
2. Register for the class through the WVU graduate admissions office as a
   • Professional Development Applicant – https://graduateadmissions.wvu.edu/

   • Active WVU Account – 
      Need a:
      1) Two factor authentication / Okta
      2) Log into the WVU Portal and Class registration instructions.

3. Participants will respond on their conference experiences by answering the following questions: 
      1) What sessions did you attend that you felt were outstanding?
      2) Considering the outstanding sessions you attended, what practical activities/teaching strategies did you gain from the session(s) that you can use in your musical classroom?
      3) Did you network with some colleagues exchanging teaching strategies and ideas that you plan to use in your classroom?
4. Reflective responses need to be submitted via email by April 15, 2027
